Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son on November 24 led a Government inspection delegation to review the final preparations for the 2025 Autumn Economic Forum, which is set to officially open on November 25.
In the late afternoon, the Deputy Prime Minister, together with officials from the Government and Ho Chi Minh City, conducted an on-site inspection at GEM Center and Thisky Hall Sala, the two venues selected by the city to host key activities of the forum slated for November 25-27.

During the working session, Ho Chi Minh City leaders reported on the progress of essential tasks, ranging from reception arrangements and a three-layer security plan to the completion of technical and transmission systems for the entire programme.

At GEM Center, Deputy Prime Minister Son observed the rehearsal of an art performance themed “Huong sac Viet Nam,” designed to welcome international delegates and guests attending the forum. He praised the production team for a well-prepared script that successfully harmonises traditional and modern elements, blending national cultural identity with global integration.

At Thisky Hall Sala, the Deputy Prime Minister requested a comprehensive review of the transportation protocols for international delegations, online transmission lines, and cabin interpreting systems. He emphasised that no minor technical issue should be allowed to affect the event. The venue’s lobby features various technology showcases, including AI-powered robots guiding visitors.

Following the field inspection, the Deputy Prime Minister highly valued the proactive preparations by Ho Chi Minh City and the organising committee, noting that all logistics, security, technical infrastructure, staging, and technology exhibition areas had been completed on schedule.

“With an event welcoming around 1,500 domestic and international delegates, every detail must meet the highest standards. I request a final review of all operational procedures, especially online transmission systems, interpreting services, and reception for high-level delegates,” Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son stressed.
The 2025 Autumn Economic Forum, themed “Green transition in the digital era,” will take place from November 25 to 27. The event is directed by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR), in coordination with relevant ministries, agencies and the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son will attend the forum, together with leaders of central ministries, agencies and localities.
The forum will also welcome international guests, including WEF President Borge Brende and WEF Managing Director Stephan Mergenthaler, alongside more than 20 delegations from ministries, agencies and localities of various countries, international organisations, and 75 delegations from fourth industrial revolution centres, innovation hubs and major corporations across Europe, America, Australia, and Asia.
