Satisfactory results

In the first nine months of 2023, production and trading activities of the company faced both favorable conditions and challenges. According to the company’s leadership, the weather condition was favorable for coal production, processing and sale. However, the installation of new equipment at some workshops interrupted production.

Despite numerous difficulties, the company achieved satisfactory results. In the first nine months of 2023, the output of run-of-mine coal reached 1.338 million tonnes; 12,890m of pits were drug; 1.308 million tonnes of coal were sold; the company’s revenue reached VND2.294 trillion; and the average salary of its staff members and workers was VND17.435 million per person per month.

In the first nine months, according to its leadership, the company issued 60 documents regarding OSH while conducting periodical inspections in this field.

The company also conducted unscheduled inspections at production areas, in coordination with inspectors from the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), firefighting and fire prevention police, and Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. OSH and search and rescue training courses were organized for company workers.

Thanks to the effective management, production activities in 2023 have been stable. The company has paid great attention to accelerating major projects, while improving labor productivity and working condition.

Notably, in 2023, the company has worked out an action plan in response to the Buy Vietnamese Goods campaign. Under the plan, the company buys Quang Ninh Province’s farm products for use in its refectories. It also buys production materials from Vinacomin member companies, such as diesel oil, lubricants, mechanical products, iron pit-props, and steel nets.

Decisive measures

The company’s leadership said that based on the results achieved in the first nine months of 2023, the company will continue its efforts to accelerate the implementation of major projects in the coming time.

Notably, ensuring OSH continues to be a major task of the company in October and the fourth quarter of the year. The company will coordinate with the Mine Safety Center to carry out periodical inspections and air sampling in mining areas, while taking care of the spiritual and material lives of workers. It will also send workers to skill and OSH competitions.

At the same time, the company will maintain production along with implementing work related to bid packages of Khe Cham II-IV Project, and urge the contractor to speed up the upgrade of the Cam Dong residential area. Greater attention will be paid to saving production costs and controlling the quality of purchased goods. The company will also tighten the management of production materials, including those recovered for reuse purposes and those lying in stock.

The company is willing to recruit untrained workers and send them to training courses, while opening classes to train welding skills for its workers. Worker salary management will be tightened. Inspections will be increased to better protect mining areas and coal stores, while ensuring social security in areas with residents including domestic and foreign workers working for the company and its material and equipment suppliers.
