Dong Nai expands role of industry promotion collaborators

According to the Industry Promotion Center of Dong Nai Province, in 2023, with support and assistance of industry promotion collaborators, the center, in coordination with province-based units, offered training in startup and business capability improvement for 274 rural industrial establishment owners in the province’s districts of Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, Cam My, Tan Phu and Dinh Quan, and Long Khanh City. Additionally, four seminars were organized to introduce post-harvest fruit preservation and processing technologies in the districts of Thong Nhat, Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, and Dinh Quan.

Industry promotion collaborators provide guidelines for rural industrial manufacturers to apply for having their products honored and certified through outstanding rural industrial product promotion events, as well as to apply for the titles of artisans, skilled workers and contributors to traditional craft development. They also helped about 50 rural industrial establishments introduce their products at the provincial industry promotion center.

The collaborators also helped commune and district people’s committees build and implement industry promotion programs and plans.

However, according to a representative of the provincial industry promotion center, the quality of the province’s industry promotion collaborators needs to be improved to better learn about rural industrial manufacturers’ investment demands and help them develop trading and production activities.

The center will propose that the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Industry and Trade work with district authorities on more detailed tasks of industry promotion collaborators and adjust and supplement industry promotion collaborator management regulations in order to improve the efficiency of industry promotion in the province.n
