On the afternoon of September 18, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Political Bureau and Secretariat held a conference to announce decisions on personnel work. Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu attended and directed the conference.

At the conference, the Political Bureau decided to reassign and appoint Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and as Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 tenure.

Previously, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung signed Decision No. 1426/QD-TTg dated July 29, 2026, on the reappointment of the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade. Under the decision, the Prime Minister reappointed Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan as Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade. The decision took effect on September 10, 2026.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan was born on October 12, 1975, in Nghe An Province. He holds a master's degree in Commercial Law, a bachelor's degree in International Law, and an advanced degree in political theory.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan has held several important positions at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, including Director of the Legal Department; Director of the Competition and Consumer Protection Department; and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.
