Bosch Vietnam tops “Best places to work 2023”

Leading supplier of technology and services Bosch ranks first in “Anphabe Vietnam’s top 100 best places to work in 2023” in the engineering category.

For the ninth consecutive year, Bosch is part of the top employers list from the Vietnamese social networking service and employment platform. Anphabe awards organizations delivering excellent employee experiences following a thorough survey among 63,000 working professionals, 800 companies, and 18 industries nationwide.

“Bosch’s top spot in the engineering category is a testament to the dedication of our associates, reflecting our collective drive towards excellence,” said Dominik Meichle, managing director of Bosch Vietnam. “From the growth of our workforce, our milestone of becoming Bosch's largest Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) manufacturing plant globally, the establishment of our automotive Research and Development (R&D) center, and the future software hub, I believe our philosophy “people matter” continues to play a pivotal role in shaping our remarkable growth story.”

Bosch Vietnam has been actively expanding its position in Vietnam's high-tech landscape with over 5,800 associates nationwide. Being the second biggest site in scale of operations next to India as its headquarters, Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam (BGSV) has amassed more than 13 years of operation, growing its workforce to around 4,000 since 2010. BGSV is positioned to deliver innovative systems development solutions in Japan, Korea, China, and Southeast Asia.

Growth through talent development

Bosch invests heavily in talent development, accumulating 100,000 learning hours annually in Vietnam. Its Competence Development Roadmap, which tailors programs complementing every stage of associates' careers, offers innovative training sessions, hands-on workshops, and opportunities for higher education. These initiatives have resulted in a 4.7% reduction in employee attrition rates in 2023, enabling Bosch to outperform Vietnam’s employee turnover rate of 3-5% for the last 5 years.

Enjoying balance between work and life

Bosch enables the flexibility for associates to choose on-site, remote, or hybrid work while ensuring proper recognition to their contributions. The company also offers fitness classes, sports days, monthly health talks, and celebrations which encourages an environment where employees can express themselves, respect diversity and find fulfilment through effective collaboration in workplace.

In 2023, Bosch Vietnam organized over 20 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, dedicating 3,000 hours and donating 9 billion VND to various projects. They focus on sustainability, education, and community welfare from providing education to underprivileged children, planting 500 trees over 5 hectares in Dong Nai, developing school infrastructure, and supplying essentials to orphanages across different locations.

Apart from securing the top spot in the engineering category and ranking the 19th overall in “Anphabe’s top 100 Vietnam best places to work 2023”, Bosch Vietnam has garnered several accolades – “Great place to work certificate in 2023”, “Vietnam Student’s top 50 best employer of choice 2023”, and “Top 50 Corporate Sustainability awards – Outstanding CSR”.

“These prestigious awards and milestones reflect the dedication of our talented team, infusing passion, innovation, and excellence into every endeavor. Together, we continue to set new benchmarks and redefine the standards of success. Here's to our talents – the driving force behind every triumph,” said Sathyanarayana T K, vice president, chief operating officer of Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam.

Bosch established its first representative office in Ho Chi Minh City in 1994.
