Boosting mechanical industry development

(VEN) - The Industrial Promotion Center Region 1 (IPC1) is helping mechanical enterprises in a number of northern provinces and cities improve production capacity and product quality.

The 2021-2023 project for mechanical industry development has helped the Anh Anh Investment Construction Co., Ltd. in Ha Nam Province build a 520-tonnes pre-engineered steel structure factory, for example.

Another beneficiary of the project, a mechanical, electrical and electronics company in Thai Nguyen Province successfully implemented a project for application of advanced machinery and equipment in precise mechanical product manufacturing. Although the industry promotion funding that the company received was small, it helped the enterprise create new products, fulfill new orders, provide stable jobs and increase employee incomes.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Agency for Regional Industry and Trade (ARIT) works with ministry units to help mechanical enterprises improve production capacity and revenues. The ARIT assigned IPC1 to build and implement a VND6.45-billion national industry promotion project for mechanical industry development in the 2019-2020 period. The project was welcomed and highly rated by its beneficiaries. Based on this project’s success, IPC1 built and realized a similar project for the 2021-2023 period.

The 2021-2023 project is expected to help 13 rural industrial enterprises procure and apply advanced equipment and machinery in production, support another five rural industrial producers to hire consultants, and assist four rural industrial establishments to open showrooms for outstanding rural industrial products, all in 2023.
