Industry promotion projects of advanced machinery and equipment help rural industrial producers improve productivity

Vo Mai Hung, Deputy Director of the Binh Dinh Province Department of Industry and Trade, said 2022 was the fourth year in a row that Binh Dinh Province disbursed all of its industry promotion capital as scheduled, contributing to the province’s 7.05-percent IIP (index of industrial production) growth and economic development.

Last year, the province implemented 39 industry promotion projects worth a total of VND5.82 billion (up 30.7 percent in value from 2021), including 30 advanced machinery and equipment application projects worth VND5.035 billion.

Industry promotion projects have been welcomed by rural industrial enterprises and attracted reciprocal capital of more than VND15 billion from project beneficiaries in 2022. Project beneficiaries created additional jobs for 360 rural workers.

This year, the provincial industry promotion sector will give priority to helping rural industrial establishments restore and boost production and trading activities. Specifically, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade will boost the construction of technical demonstration models, repair and improvement of environmental pollution treatment systems, and branding and showroom development for rural industrial products. The department will also help connect rural industrial producers and provide them with assistance in investment project preparation, marketing development, production, finance, accounting and human resource management, product design and packaging, and new technology and equipment application.

Priority will also be given to projects with large investment capital, support industry projects and projects for development of environmentally friendly products and outstanding rural industrial products.
