Binh Dinh boosts rural industrial production

(VEN) - Advanced machinery and equipment have helped rural industrial producers in Binh Dinh increase productivity and make efficient use of local raw materials, reflecting the importance attributed by the southcentral coastal province to industry promotion as key to rural industrial development.

According to data from the Binh Dinh Province Department of Industry and Trade, 39 industry promotion projects worth a total of VND5.82 billion were implemented in the province in 2022, creating products of improved quality and design. Seventy-five percent of project beneficiaries used local raw materials.

Last year, industry promotion beneficiaries earned estimated revenues of VND418.829 billion and provided jobs for 360 rural workers. Industry promotion projects helped their beneficiaries increase production output by 17.5 tonnes of food and foodstuffs, 6,000 tonnes of salt, 82,100 liters of oil and milk, 2,850 cubic meters of wood, 1,680 tonnes of wood chips and 800 tonnes of incense powder. On average, each dong of industry promotion capital attracted VND1.5 of reciprocal capital from project beneficiaries.

The Thanh Dat Production and Trading Co., Ltd. in the Go Mit Industrial Cluster in the province’s Phu Cat District procured wood processing machines worth VND563 million, VND200 million of which was financed by a national industry promotion project. The company has provided stable jobs for 20 workers and improved productivity and product quality.

Another industry promotion project helped the Nguyen Phuc Lam household business in Tuy Phuoc District’s Phuoc Son Commune procure wicker furniture production equipment worth VND409 million. Nguyen Phuc Lam is expected to earn an annual profit of VND242 million and create jobs for 25-30 local people.
