
Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung casts vote in the 16th National Assembly election in Hai Phong

Le Manh Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting Minister of Industry and Trade, attends the event and exercised his civic rights and responsibilities at the constituency where he is a candidate for the 16th National Assembly.
The Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung attended the opening ceremony both as a voter and as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly in Phu Lien Ward, Hai Phong City.
Also attending the ceremony were Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Steering Committee for election affairs; Pham Van Thep, Member of the Municipal Party Standing Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority and member of the Municipal Party Committee’s Steering Committee for election affairs; Bui Thi Tuyet Mai, Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ward People’s Council, Head of the Steering Committee and Chairwoman of the Election Committee of Phu Lien Ward; along with a large number of local voters.

At the ceremony, Do Thi Thu Trang, Head of Polling Station No. 3, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the particularly important significance of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Accordingly, the election is a major political event of the country in 2026, taking place following the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, and coinciding with the implementation of the two-tier local government model.
The speech underscored that the election represents a broad political activity across all strata of society, enabling voters to directly select outstanding representatives worthy of representing the will, aspirations and mastery of the people in the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels. It is also an occasion to demonstrate patriotism, as well as the people’s confidence and expectations toward the Party and the State in the ongoing process of building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law State of Vietnam of the people, by the people and for the people, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

“With such significance and importance, I call on all voters in Polling Area No. 3 to uphold their sense of responsibility, fully exercise their civic rights and duties, and wisely choose representatives with both virtue and capability to elect the most outstanding individuals to the 16th National Assembly and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term,” Do Thi Thu Trang stressed.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, voters at Polling Station No. 3 proceeded to exercise their civic rights and responsibilities in a solemn, democratic atmosphere in accordance with regulations. Le Manh Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting Minister of Industry and Trade, cast his vote there as both a voter and a candidate for the 16th National Assembly.
Together with other voters, Le Manh Hung carefully reviewed the list of candidates and followed the procedures for receiving ballots and casting his vote in accordance with the law, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and the people’s right to mastery on this major national occasion.
In addition, organizational preparations at Polling Station No. 3 were conducted thoroughly, ensuring full compliance with legal regulations and the guidance of the National Election Council. The polling area was solemnly decorated and displayed the voter list as well as the lists of candidates for the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels, enabling voters to review and make their choices.

In Phu Lien Ward in particular and Hai Phong City in general, Election Day has truly become a festival of the entire people, reflecting the unity, responsibility and confidence of voters in the country’s future development.
At the same time, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term provides an opportunity for voters nationwide to exercise their right to mastery and select outstanding representatives to participate in the state’s power bodies, thereby contributing to building an increasingly strong state apparatus capable of meeting the country’s development requirements in the new stage.
