PM Le Minh Hung acknowledged the efforts made by the Ambassador and the Russian Embassy, and requested the Ambassador to continue closely coordinating with Vietnamese ministries, sectors and agencies to effectively implement high-level agreements and further deepen the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Expressing his honour at meeting Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko sincerely congratulated the Prime Minister on being entrusted with the highly responsible position, affirming that the Russian Federation always attaches importance to its traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam, and considers Vietnam one of its leading important partners in the Asia-Pacific region.
Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko expressed his pleasure in reporting to the Prime Minister on the positive progress in bilateral cooperation in recent times, as well as areas and issues where both sides still see substantial potential for further cooperation. He affirmed that the Russian side, and the Ambassador personally, stand ready to closely coordinate with Vietnamese ministries, sectors, localities and enterprises to concretise cooperation orientations agreed upon by senior leaders of the two countries, while promoting substantive cooperation in traditional sectors as well as new areas, particularly energy security, green transition, and science and technology.
PM Hung and the Russian Ambassador also exchanged views and reached consensus on directions and measures to promote bilateral cooperation across all fields, from politics and diplomacy to economy and trade, energy and oil and gas, science and technology, education and training, culture, and tourism.
Both sides agreed to coordinate in organising activities marking the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations. PM Hung affirmed that Vietnam supports the strengthening of the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership, promoting dialogue and substantive cooperation in areas of shared interest such as economy and trade, energy, science and technology, education and training, connectivity, and responses to non-traditional security challenges, thereby contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
