Dong Nai’s footwear industry sees a strong export surge in the first two months of 2025, reaching $759 million.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, Dong Nai’s footwear exports totaled $759 million in the first two months of 2025, accounting for 18.3% of the province’s total export revenue and marking a 68% increase compared to the same period last year.

Currently, Dong Nai ranks among Vietnam’s top four provinces for footwear exports. Footwear also remains the province’s leading export product.

Most footwear manufacturers in Dong Nai operate as contract manufacturers for globally renowned brands such as Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Puma, and New Balance. Products from the province are now shipped to more than 70 countries and territories worldwide.

According to customer assessments, Dong Nai’s footwear enterprises employ a highly skilled workforce, enabling them to efficiently fulfill large and complex orders within short timeframes. As a result, a growing number of international orders have shifted to factories in the province.

Many Dong Nai-based manufacturers are also at the forefront of green transition initiatives, with many are reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adopting energy-efficient practices to meet global sustainability standards.

Footwear remains Dong Nai’s top trade surplus product, with a net export surplus of nearly $650 million in the first two months of the year.
