Indian travel association surveys tourism in Ninh Binh Province

(VEN) - An annual conference of the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) is taking place in Ninh Binh Province from January 17-20, 2025. The conference includes trade conferences and bilateral cooperation meetings with tourism and media companies to promote travel between India and Vietnam, and also between India and Ninh Binh Province.

At the invitation of Pham Quang Ngoc, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee, TAFI has come to survey tourist attractions, facilities, and services in Ninh Binh Province.

According to the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, the conference is joined by 450 delegates from 267 tourism companies, travel agencies, and marketing companies across India. On the Vietnamese side, participants include 50 major travel companies nationwide, such as Vietravel and Treviet, along with airlines, media companies, and representatives from newspapers, televisions, and other communication platforms.

Accordingly, from January 18-19, TAFI will conduct surveys at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Trang An Ecotourism Complex, Thung Nham Ecotourism Area, and tours to Bai Dinh Pagoda and Tam Chuc Pagoda (in Ha Nam Province).

With exceptional natural landscapes and rich cultural and historical heritage, Ninh Binh Province has been attracting significant attention from both domestic and international tourists. Particularly notable for its pristine, unique natural beauty and efforts to create distinctive, appealing tourist destinations with high-quality services and a friendly, hospitable environment, Ninh Binh has been ranked highly by reputable international travel platforms and organizations in recent years.

In 2020, Trips to Discover (USA) named Ninh Binh one of the 14 most attractive destinations in Asia. In 2022, Travel + Leisure (USA) listed Ninh Binh among the 12 most beautiful filming locations in Asia. In 2023, Ninh Binh received the Traveler Review Award and was the only representative of Vietnam to make it into the top 10 list of friendliest destinations in the world. Forbes (USA) recognized Ninh Binh as one of the 23 best destinations in the world. In 2024, Ninh Binh ranked 4th in the Top 10 Crowd-Free New Wonders of the World. Additionally, in 2024, the Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO-recognized World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, won the Koller Award in the “Impactful Destination” category.

Working with businesses from the Travel Agents Federation of India is a practical activity aimed at promoting and introducing Ninh Binh’s tourism products and services to Indian travel agencies, media outlets, as well as domestic and international tourists. It also reinforces Ninh Binh’s tourism brand and position as one of the world’s safest, friendliest and most hospitable destinations.

This activity creates opportunities for Ninh Binh’s tourism companies to meet and sign cooperation agreements to provide products and services for Indian tourists. It helps promote the province’s tourism image in the international market, especially India - a market with significant tourism development potential. This effort contributes to the goal of turning Ninh Binh into a centrally-governed city by 2035, characterized as a millennial heritage city, a creative hub, and a national and international tourism center.
