Vinh Phuc facilitates rural industrial development

(VEN) - According to Director of Vinh Phuc Industry and Trade Development Center Nguyen Van Chinh, since the first half of this year, the production, business, and foreign trade of the province have encountered many difficulties as the economic situation has not yet really prospered, resulting in declining value of various sectors.
The implementation of industry promotion programs in the province has been facing many obstacles, for example, limitations in contacting and consulting industry promotion projects due to difficulties in funding and working facilities. The newly assigned tasks (supporting industry; supporting small- and medium-sized enterprises - SMEs...) are all new fields for Vinh Phuc and other provinces in general; therefore, they need time for research and testing on these projects.

Generally, the local SMEs remain passive and have not paid much attention to trade promotion activities. Their marketing capacity and the capability to grasp market information and business opportunities are still restricted.

Most of the rural industrial establishments are mainly business households and small-scale enterprises. The owners’ management level is limited, and their awareness of industry promotion is inadequate, leading to limited response and collaboration among units.

Chinh said, the above difficulties have affected the progress and effectiveness of industry promotion activities. Taking into account the national industry promotion program, in the first half of this year, no rural industrial establishments or enterprises have registered to benefit from the project.

To ensure the completion of the annual plan, the Vinh Phuc Industry and Trade Development Center continues to strongly disseminate industry promotion policies, helping the business households and establishments understand the importance and benefit from the policies; and also accelerate the implementation of local industry promotion projects.

However, to fundamentally resolve the difficulties that localities encountered during implementation of industry promotion programs, the center’s leader proposed that the MoIT continue to supplement and complete industry promotion documents and policies, especially those applied at localities to ensure consistency nationwide; simplify administrative procedures and improve the method of assigning industrial promotion plans to facilitate the registration of national industry promotion plans by rural industrial establishments; and strengthen training and fostering industry promotion officials from the provincial level to the grassroots level in industry promotion activities.
