Construction of 500kV circuit 3 transmission line accelerated

According to the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC), 779 people from the corporation are currently present on the construction site of the project. They include engineers, workers, safety officers, and a skilled and highly qualified command staff.

EVNSPC has informed that in the near future, the corporation will mobilize an additional 188 people, bringing the total number of people present on the construction site of the project to 967.

These people are working together with the highest determination to ensure the project is completed on schedule before June 30, 2024, in accordance with the directive of the Prime Minister.

For example, the Soc Trang Power Company has been tasked to build and install steel tower 171 in Dong Hoang Commune, Dong Son District, Thanh Hoa Province. The company has completed some relevant items and is now striving to carry out the next tasks.

According to the Soc Trang Power Company, it has sent a total of 32 people to the construction site of the project, including workers and technical staff. The entire team has gotten up to speed on the work, grasped the construction plan, and has already begun implementing the site clearance and leveling work. They have received about 40 percent of the materials and transported them to the tower foundation.

The team from the Soc Trang Power Company will continue to receive and sort materials and equipment for related accessories. They will also start the assembly and erection of the tower segments and arms when they have enough materials for the base section and arm segments.

According to the Soc Trang Power Company, the current difficulty is that the contractor has yet to provide enough materials and accessories for the base sections. The team has urged the contractor to urgently provide the materials to be transported to the construction site, prioritizing the materials for the tower base sections, in order to better implement the work.

Previously, in response to the call from the leadership of EVNSPC to provide additional human resources for the 500kV transmission line - circuit 3 project, 12 staff members and workers of the Soc Trang Power Company have voluntarily requested to be sent to the construction site of the project.

“As a worker of the power industry, I wish to participate in the 500kV transmission line - circuit 3 project with strong determination to complete it on schedule,” Nguyen Ngoc Duy, born in 1988, a worker from the Tran De power transmission line and transformer station management team, wrote in his letter.Nguyen Anh Khoa, a worker at the Soc Trang City Power Company, also expressed his determination, “I am ready to voluntarily accept the assigned mission, and together with my comrades within and outside the power industry, I will strive my utmost to complete the task seriously, safely and on schedule.”

All members of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) are eager to join the 1,500 representatives from the group who are already at the project construction site to complete it as expected by the Government.
