During the period, the province spent much of its resources to develop outstanding rural industrial products in terms of providing information, instructions to benefit from State support policies, introductions of products on e-portals, e-trading floors and at trade promotion programs.

Over the past decade, twenty-two establishments have been supported for investment in machinery and equipment applications, product introduction and promotion with a total funding of VND4.544 billion as well as for pattern designing, packaging, and brand development.

According to Vo Van Hoa - Director of Binh Thuan Department of Industry and Trade, despite the achieved results, there are still some limitations such as the small number of new outstanding products; loose coordination among participating localities resulting in restricted number of involved establishments.

To overcome the above limitations, Binh Thuan will enhance dissemination and communications so that more establishments will raise their awareness and join in the program, provide consultation about technology, products, markets to help enterprises and establishments develop their brands; and combine the development of outstanding rural industrial products with tourism development to promote products and expand markets.

Hoa also proposed an adjustment in the criteria regulated in Circular No.26/2014/TT-BCT for voting outstanding agricultural products, as many of them use general terms for evaluation of the products. Therefore, the province recommended that the Ministry of Industry and Trade study and formulate a detailed scoring scale for each product group to create favorable conditions for localities to establish their voting systems.

Departments and sectors are urged to apply current policies to support winning businesses and facilitate their production and business activities.

As for businesses with certified products, they are requested to keep improving product quality and design to enhance their product competitiveness in the market, especially with those certified products at the regional level.
