Australia introduces high-quality agricultural products to Vietnam market

A group of Australian associations including Dairy Australia, Horticulture Innovation Australia, Meat & Livestock Australia, Seafood Industry Australia, and Wine Australia jointly organized the exchange event "Taste the wonders of Australia" in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event brought together Australian exporters, associations, Vietnamese importers, distributors, retailers and food service businesses to experience outstanding Australian products, including dairy, meat (beef and lamb), seafood, fruits, vegetables, berries, nuts.

Sarah Hooper, Australian Consul General, said: “Vietnam and Australia are celebrating 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations. Agriculture is one of the main sectors, playing an important role. Australia and Vietnam are strong trading partners. The bilateral trade in 2022 is worth A$23.06 billion (Trade Data Monitor, 2023). Vietnam is one of Australia's fastest growing trading partners in recent years. Australian dairy products, seafood, agricultural products provide Vietnam market with diversity, bringing better choices to consumers. We hope events like this will contribute to promoting people-to-people relationships, opening up opportunities for Australian and Vietnamese partners to share industry knowledge, exchange insights and discuss future trade partnerships.”
