Fine Food Australia 2023 is the food industry’s leading international trade event, held annually for the past 38 years, focusing on introducing foods and beverages from Australia and around the world. This event brings together thousands of businesses and hundreds of experts in the food, beverage, hotel and restaurant industries, manufacturers, exporters, importers, wholesalers, retailers, buyers and other service providers.
Nguyen Phu Hoa, Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, said Vietnamese coconut milk products and the trial of these products at Fine Food Australia 2023 attracted visitors and received positive feedback. The trade office has persistently promoted Vietnamese coconut milk products in Australia for many years and reached encouraging achievements. More than 20,000 importers and supermarket/store managers came to the event, Hoa said. Australians are interested in canned coconut milk products because of their convenience for transportation and use, he added.

Vo Trung Hieu, International Business Director of Vinamilk, said the event made it possible for Vietnamese businesses to meet buyers (including importers), distributors, retailers, and supermarket managers and operators.
The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), taking effect on January 14, 2019, has offered opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to carve a niche in the Australian market. The CPTPP also offers numerous opportunities for Australian and other CPTPP exporters to supply materials, parts and components to Vietnam’s manufacturing sector while enabling almost all Vietnamese exports to Australia to enjoy a zero (0) tax rate.
The Vietnam Trade Office has digitized its operations and put into use the Viet-Aus Trade application to help businesses promote products and search information and partners. It launches booths to promote Vietnamese products at different international fairs in Australia and helps hundreds of businesses promote their products through online exhibitions.
The trade office attends online meetings to share goods export experiences, and help Vietnamese businesses to sell goods domestically and expand markets to all states and territories of Australia. The trade office also encourages Vietnamese Australian businessmen to import and distribute Vietnamese goods, organizes Vietnamese fresh fruit weeks and festivals in Australia, and strengthens the promotion and branding of Vietnamese farm produce, including pre-processed and frozen fruit and vegetable products, in Australia.
In 2023, the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia participated in many international trade exhibitions. It will soon attend textile, fashion and energy exhibitions while launching a Vietnamese Goods Week. |
