Vietnam International Sourcing 2023 will include a series of activities, including conferences, trade exchange programs and the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2023, which expects the participation of 300 businesses from different areas in the international supply chains.

Potential participants will be all enterprises with international certifications and high-quality products in the fields of food, textile and garment, leather and footwear, home appliances and furniture, and support industry, among others.

A representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s European-American Market Department said this year’s event is expected to welcome 8,000 visitors and 150 delegations from 30 countries and territories. It has received the greatest-ever interest from world leading companies. It is expected that during the three-day Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2023, 10 seminars and business forums featuring useful trade connections will be held in the presence of large corporations such as Aeon, Uniqlo (Japan), Walmart, Amazon, Boeing, AES (USA), Carrefour and Decathlon (France), Central Group (Thailand), and Coppel (Mexico).

In addition to the goal of promoting exports, the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023 will have additional side activities to help businesses improve their capacity and develop on a sustainable basis when entering the global market. The organizers hope that many agreements and commercial transactions will be successfully signed at the event, and the participants will meet many partners and customers, and have more business ideas to be suggested later so that the event can become a prestigious business rendezvous for enterprises, contributing to bringing Vietnamese goods and products to the global market, said the department’s representative.

Foreign businesses’ interest

More than 60 Vietnamese trade offices and branches of Vietnamese trade offices overseas are promoting the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023 abroad to help attract importers, distributors and foreign business associations to the event.

The Vietnam Trade Office in Belgium and the EU said a delegation of about 50 Belgian entrepreneurs is expected to come to Vietnam to seek partners and attend the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023. The office noted that the entrepreneurs will represent their businesses from the region of Flanders that operate in various sectors, from farm produce, machinery, construction materials to real estate and logistics services. In particular, some have expressed their wish to be further connected with Vietnamese companies in such industries as confectionery and chocolate production, fruit, insulation film and outdoor product manufacturing via the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023.

A delegation of Dutch entrepreneurs is expected to come to Vietnam to seek partners and attend the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023, according to the Vietnamese Trade Office in the Netherlands. It is expected that the delegation will include representatives of corporations, distributors, retailers, and trading companies based in the Netherlands with branches spreading throughout the European region. According to the office, the imports of these enterprises are Asian food products, ceramics, kitchen utensils, and dining tables. Joining the delegation will be businesses from the Dutch seafood association, importers and distributors of outdoor furniture as well as logistics enterprises.

Nguyen Canh Cuong, Trade Counselor, Vietnam Trade Office in the UK, said his office is encouraging importers and distributors in the UK to attend the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023.
